Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinarian to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will provide comprehensive veterinary care for a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. You will conduct examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Strong communication skills are essential as you will work closely with pet owners to provide education and support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive examinations on animals to assess their health status.
  • Diagnose medical conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Administer vaccinations and preventative care.
  • Educate pet owners on health care and nutrition for their pets.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with a team of veterinary nurses and assistants to provide optimal care.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science
  • Registered with the South African Veterinary Council
Experience
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in veterinary medicine
