As a Tax Consultant in Cape Town, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will provide expert advice on tax strategies and help clients optimize their tax positions. Your role will involve liaising with clients to gather information and solve tax-related queries. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of tax legislation and possess excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute tax planning initiatives to maximize client benefits.
• Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions.
• Oversee the compliance process for tax regulations.
• Prepare financial analysis related to tax positions.
• Support the team in training and mentoring junior consultants.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss tax matters.
• Assess client risks related to tax liabilities.
• Build and sustain long-term client relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field
• Master’s degree in Taxation is highly advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of practical experience in a tax environment

• Financial analysis

Certifications

• Professional Tax Consultant (PTC)
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is a bonus

Languages

• English: Fluent
