The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze insurance applications thoroughly.
• Determine the necessary documentation and data required for underwriting.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to gather additional information when needed.
• Ensure that underwriting practices comply with company and legal standards.
• Review market conditions to adjust underwriting strategies accordingly.
• Prepare detailed reports on underwriting assessments.
• Develop strong relationships with agents to facilitate communication.
• Participate in professional development to keep up with industry best practices.
• Engage in feedback sessions to enhance team performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or related field
• Professional designations such as AIAF or AINS are preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in underwriting roles
