Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Research Scientist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be involved in the design and execution of experiments in the Biotech and Pharmaceuticals field, contributing to innovative research that aims to develop new therapeutics and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Develop protocols for experiments in biotechnology.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of ongoing projects.
• Assist in grant proposals and funding applications to support research initiatives.
• Train and mentor junior staff in laboratory techniques.
• Communicate research findings to stakeholders and scientific community.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• PhD is preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of relevant research experience

• Cell Culture Techniques
• Chromatography

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification
• Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of GxP regulations: Understanding of Good Laboratory and Clinical Practices.
• Experience with regulatory submissions: Familiarity with the submission process for clinical trials.
