Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with hazardous waste management regulations and conducting inspections to promote sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all waste management practices adhere to established regulations and best practices.
• Provide technical assistance to clients regarding hazardous materials handling.
• Perform audits of waste management systems and practices.
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
• Review and assess hazardous waste management policies for effectiveness.
• Liaise with local authorities during inspections and compliance checks.
• Develop educational materials on hazardous waste safety for internal use.
• Assist in the preparation of compliance reports for regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in environmental compliance

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Project management software

Certifications

• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with waste management in the oil and gas industry: Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance in hazardous waste generated from oil and gas operations.
• Experience in emergency response and incident management: Background in managing hazardous waste incidents to minimize environmental impact.
