Medical Radiation Dosimetrist

Job Description

As a Medical Radiation Dosimetrist, you will design and plan radiation therapy treatment plans for patients. Working closely with oncologists and radiation therapists, you'll ensure safe and accurate delivery of radiation doses to target areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized radiation therapy plans.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care.
• Utilize advanced treatment planning systems to enhance accuracy.
• Regularly review and update treatment protocols based on emerging research.
• Provide ongoing education and training to staff on radiation safety and protocols.
• Assist in conducting clinical trials and research projects.
• Engage with patients to discuss treatment options and manage expectations.
• Analyze patient data to refine treatment methodologies.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss case studies and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics, Radiography, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Radiation Therapy or Medical Dosimetry

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical dosimetry or radiation therapy planning.
