Job Description

Are you passionate about industrial operations? We are looking for Metal-Refining Furnace Operators to manage the production of coke. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial ovens, ensuring production efficiency and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate coke ovens and monitor production closely.
• Conduct visual inspections of the coke quality and sampling for analysis.
• Maintain records of production activities and issues encountered.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Contribute to team discussions on process enhancements.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Relevant technical qualification or experience

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate and monitor industrial ovens
• Knowledge of industrial processes and technologies

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Good Communication Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working in a mining or heavy industrial environment: Background in similar operational roles is preferable.
• Knowledge of coke production process: Understanding of the entire process from raw material handling to final product.
