Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Chemical Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in developing, producing, and improving chemical processes and products. You will collaborate with other engineers and scientists to design and implement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability in our operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects focused on the development of innovative chemical products.
• Collaborate with research teams to develop and commercialize new technologies.
• Perform risk assessments and safety analyses for chemical processes.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing chemical processes.
• Provide technical support during plant operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant certifications in chemical safety are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry

• Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
