Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Our Johannesburg location is looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer who will participate in designing mechanical systems that will impact the efficiency of our operations. This position requires a collaborative mind with excellent technical abilities and the drive to surpass project goals and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review technical specifications and drawings.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Enhance existing designs by applying innovative techniques.
• Prepare project progress reports and presentations for management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience

• 5 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Mechanical Systems Design

Soft Skills

• Problem Resolution
• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with simulation software: Proficiency in using simulation tools for mechanical applications.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles: Experience in optimizing manufacturing processes for efficiency.
