Information Security Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an Information Security Specialist to enhance our cybersecurity framework in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing security measures, implementing solutions to protect sensitive data, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing and risk analysis to identify weaknesses.
• Establish and oversee incident response protocols.
• Work with external vendors to ensure the effectiveness of security measures.
• Develop a security incident response plan and conduct drills.
• Implement encryption technologies and data protection solutions.
• Review and update incident response documentation as needed.
• Provide guidance on security-related issues to other departments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity
