Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Dredge Operator to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining dredging equipment to ensure efficient sediment removal from waterways and channels.

Responsibilities

• Operate dredging machinery to excavate and remove sediment.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on dredging equipment.
• Ensure dredging operations align with project specifications and environmental regulations.
• Complete daily logs and reports on dredging activities.
• Work alongside the Dredge Supervisor to ensure efficient project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Mechanical or engineering qualification (Diploma / Bachelor's Degree) - advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in dredging operations

Technical Skills

• Dredging Equipment Operation
• Mechanical Aptitude

Certifications

• Valid driver's license - essential
• Certificate in dredging operations - advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent
