Radio Communications Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Radio Communications Technician and be responsible for ensuring that all radio communication systems are operational and efficient. This position is ideal for individuals who have a knack for troubleshooting and possess strong technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of communication equipment.
• Conduct site surveys to assess communication network requirements.
• Keep abreast of changes in telecommunications technology.
• Assist in the design and implementation of communication solutions.
• Train junior technicians and assist with on-the-job training.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities for future reference.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company and safety policies.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant National Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Certification or training in radio communications would be advantageous

Experience

• Prior experience in maintaining and repairing radio communication equipment.
