Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Legal Advisor to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of legal principles and will be responsible for providing legal advice to clients and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laws and regulations relevant to the firm's operations.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures.
• Provide support in dispute resolution and litigation matters.
• Review and provide legal insight on marketing materials.
• Manage external legal counsel and service providers.
• Engage in stakeholder consultations regarding legal compliance.
• Document legal processes and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to strategic planning and risk assessment.
• Participate in client consultations and meetings.
• Foster relationships with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)
• Master's degree in Corporate Law or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a corporate legal environment
