Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures. You will work closely with architects and contractors to ensure projects are completed to specifications and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create 3D models and simulations of structural designs.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Oversee the work of junior engineers and sub-contractors.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Generate cost estimates and project plans.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review calculations and analyses for accuracy and compliance.
  • Attend and present at client meetings and industry events.
  • Support sustainability initiatives in project designs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
  • Professional registration is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience in structural design and analysis.
