Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Tax Specialist to join our Cape Town team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance and developing tax strategies for our diverse client portfolio. You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs while ensuring adherence to relevant tax legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of tax compliance for a portfolio of clients.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and update clients accordingly.
• Engage in tax planning and structuring for clients.
• Support clients during tax audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Utilize accounting software for effective tax reporting.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes.
• Prepare monthly insights on tax liabilities and opportunities for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation or related field
• Advanced tax certification (e.g. CTA) preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in tax advisory or consultancy environment

Technical Skills

• VAT Compliance
• Financial Analysis

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Fellowship of Chartered Tax Advisors (FCTA)
• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP) – optional

Languages

• English: Fluent
