Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will focus on developing and improving mechanical systems and processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical designs using CAD software.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for engineering projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding project requirements.
• Participate in project meetings to provide technical input.
• Perform stress analysis and simulations on mechanical components.
• Ensure that all designs follow relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of project bids and proposals.
• Foster a safety-first culture within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical systems design

• AutoCAD

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
