Responsibilities

• Translate client needs into innovative and practical design solutions.
• Prepare detailed design reports and documentation.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure that design specifications are being met.
• Optimize space layouts to encourage functionality and flow.
• Create visual presentations and sketches to communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with architects and builders to achieve cohesive designs.
• Follow up with clients post-project to gather feedback and assess satisfaction.
• Conduct market research to identify current design trends.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control processes.
• Mentor junior designers and interns in design best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or related field
• Advanced diploma in design is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in interior design or architecture

• 3D Rendering
• Project Management Software

Certifications

• Professional Interior Designer (PID)
• NCIDQ Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
