Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Urban Planner to join our vibrant team in Durban. This role involves developing town planning proposals, conducting research, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance urban environments.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review land development applications.
• Conduct field surveys and assessments.
• Work with local communities to identify needs and priorities.
• Support project financing and budgeting activities.
• Create visual presentations for planning concepts.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Assist in grant writing for urban improvement projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated planning.
• Monitor urban development projects for adherence to plans.
• Promote sustainability in urban planning initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Geography or related discipline
• Relevant advanced degree is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in urban planning
