Top Insurance Group is on the lookout for a skilled Insurance Underwriter based in Durban. In this role, your main responsibilities will include evaluating client proposals, interpreting the data, and applying policy guidelines to offer suitable insurance solutions. A successful track record in insurance underwriting will be crucial to your success here.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits on existing insurance policies and their efficacy.
• Assist in training junior underwriters and onboarding new hires.
• Identify trends in claims data to adjust underwriting criteria.
• Prepare reports and presentations on underwriting results to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Actuarial Science
• Master's degree in Insurance or Business Administration is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of thorough experience in underwriting practices

• Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI)
