Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Database Administrator to oversee and manage our database systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of database architecture, security, and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation of our data environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, integrity, and security of database systems.
• Perform regular database backups and restore processes.
• Develop SQL scripts for data manipulation and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on database architecture.
• Implement best practices for database maintenance and performance.
• Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements.
• Document existing processes and database configurations.
• Engage in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Evaluate and integrate new database technologies as needed.
• Train and mentor junior database staff.

Requirements

Education

• Advanced Diploma in Database Management or equivalent
• Relevant certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant database experience

Technical Skills

• PostgreSQL
• Database Performance Tuning

• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Certified Database Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with data modeling tools: Familiarity with tools like ER/Studio or Lucidchart for data modeling.
