Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to evaluate and assess risks for our clients in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of underwriting principles and should be able to make informed decisions while managing insurance applications. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial stability of the company.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims to ensure honesty and prevent fraud.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing policies.
• Work with actuaries to develop risk models and forecasts.
• Document all underwriting decisions accurately and comprehensively.
• Ensure timely follow-ups on pending applications.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Insurance, Finance, or related field preferred

Experience

• Experience with commercial underwriting is a plus

Languages
