Job Description

As a Utility Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining utility equipment and systems to ensure the efficient and continuous supply of essential services within a facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of utility systems and coordinate scheduled maintenance.
• Implement energy conservation techniques to reduce utility costs.
• Conduct safety training and drills for staff related to utility operations.
• Document system changes, updates, and repairs accurately.
• Perform detailed inspections and analyses of utility systems to foresee and address potential failures.
• Engage with local authorities regarding compliance and operational standards.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience operating and maintaining utility systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong technical skills related to utility systems and equipment
• Basic computer literacy

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Certifications

• Formal training or certification in utility operations

Languages

• English: Fluent
