Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and protecting our systems from potential threats, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and conducting regular security audits. You will work closely with IT teams to develop strategies that enhance our cybersecurity measures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing security tools and recommend enhancements.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Work on improving security frameworks and methodologies.
• Facilitate communication between departments regarding security measures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles or IT security

• Firewall Management

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in penetration testing: Hands-on experience in performing penetration tests on applications and networks.
• Knowledge of security frameworks: Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, or similar security frameworks.
