Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mental Health Professional (Counsellor) to empower our clients at Confidential Mental Health Services. In this role, you will provide therapy, conduct assessments, and collaborate with other health professionals to improve client outcomes and mental health awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions to clients.
  • Evaluate and reassess client needs throughout the therapy process.
  • Promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma in the community.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss client progress.
  • Engage in continuous learning and apply best practices in counselling.
  • Support clients in setting and achieving personal goals.
  • Assist with community outreach programs focused on mental health education.

Requirements

Education
  • Honours Degree in Psychology or Counselling required
  • Master's degree is highly advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of counselling experience in mental health settings

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Soft Skills
  • Active Listening

Certifications
  • Registered Psychologist (HPCSA)
  • NLP Practitioner Certification
Languages
