DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Join us as a DevOps Engineer where you will optimise our cloud infrastructure and enhance our deployment processes. You will play a key role in integrating development and operations to deliver seamless software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of cloud services, including monitoring and logging.
• Ensure the availability and reliability of production environments.
• Document processes and maintain repository of development tools.
• Design disaster recovery and backup solutions.
• Develop infrastructure as code for efficient management.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Foster relationships across development and IT operations teams.
• Drive initiatives to improve system health and performance.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers in DevOps practices.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in Software Engineering or applicable field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years working in DevOps practices

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Git

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Communication

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with serverless architectures: Knowledge of serverless computing concepts such as AWS Lambda.
