Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team in Bloemfontein. In this role, you will work closely with students with diverse needs to create a nurturing learning environment that caters to their individual abilities and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute lesson plans that support the educational goals of students with special needs.
  • Engage in continuous assessment and adapt instruction as necessary.
  • Support students in developing social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Engage with community resources to provide additional support for students and families.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote inclusion and diversity.
  • Document and evaluate student progress effectively for reporting purposes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Special Needs
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of teaching experience in special needs education
