DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced DevOps Engineer in Johannesburg who is adept at streamlining processes and automating workflows. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our tech teams achieve optimal efficiency and reliability in deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Work with team members to improve existing CI/CD processes.
• Ensure uptime and optimal performance of services.
• Implement monitoring solutions to track the health of applications.
• Review and improve security best practices in cloud services.
• Conduct post-mortem analyses on incidents to improve processes and prevent future downtime.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud engineering

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience in agile working environments, knowledge of Scrum or Kanban.
