Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Veterinarian to join our dedicated team at Animal Care Clinic in Durban. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a range of animal health issues while promoting a culture of wellness and preventive care.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat various animal ailments and injuries.
• Perform routine and emergency surgeries as needed.
• Consult with pet owners about their animals' health and wellness.
• Prescribe medications and ensure follow-up care is provided.
• Work collaboratively with the team to enhance patient care.
• Document patient treatment plans thoroughly and accurately.
• Conduct health and wellness checks for animals.
• Participate in ongoing education and skills development.
• Enhance community awareness through outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• DVM or equivalent
• Specialization in a particular area of veterinary care is desirable

Experience

• 3+ years in a multi-disciplinary veterinary practice

Technical Skills

• Experience in emergency care
• Animal Behavior Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team management

Certifications

• Specialist Veterinary Licensure
• Advanced Canine and Feline Practice Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
