Job Description

We are in search of a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will assess risks, determine coverage terms, and ensure the best outcomes for our clients. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you evaluate data and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Review loss history and analyze data to inform underwriting decisions.
• Contribute to developing new insurance products based on market research.
• Assist in resolving claims issues and facilitate communication between clients and claims adjusters.
• Engage with clients to maintain relationships and grow the business.
• Perform additional duties as required by the underwriting department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Insurance
• Postgraduate qualifications in Insurance are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred

• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
