Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bloemfontein. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing various civil infrastructure projects. Whether it’s roads, bridges, or municipal works, your expertise will contribute significantly to our project success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, and management of multiple civil engineering projects.
• Conduct thorough site investigations and prepare technical reports.
• Work in collaboration with a diverse team of engineers and specialists.
• Create and maintain project budgets while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure that all projects comply with relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare project reports and documentation for stakeholders and clients.
• Participate in community engagement and consultative meetings.
• Review contractor performance to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
• Apply innovative solutions to complex engineering issues.
• Engage with governmental and regulatory agencies as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification is beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years in civil engineering, particularly in infrastructure projects

Technical Skills

• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET) is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
