Job Description

As a Plant Operator, you will oversee the functioning of our manufacturing equipment, ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining high safety standards. You will play a crucial role in the production line, contributing to the reduction of downtime and the maximisation of output.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup of production machinery and equipment.
• Assist in the implementation of production schedules.
• Document and report any discrepancies in the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with quality control to uphold product standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Technical diploma is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in plant operations

Technical Skills

• PLC Knowledge
• Health and Safety Procedures

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Operational Safety Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Ability to work shifts: Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends is a plus.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS): Familiarity with industry standards related to quality assurance is beneficial.
