Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Optical Lathe Operator to join our skilled manufacturing team. The right candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining optical lathe equipment, producing high-quality optical lenses tailored to specific standards. This role is crucial to ensuring precision and quality in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate the optical lathe machines for production runs.
• Monitor production to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on lathe equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with quality team to resolve any non-conformance issues.
• Assist in training new staff on machinery and safety procedures.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for better production outputs.
• Document all processes and adjustments made during production.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Technical qualification or trade certificate in machinery operation is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with optical equipment.
