We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team at Animal Care Centre in Johannesburg. You will provide medical care, perform surgeries, and ensure the overall health of our patients. Ideal candidates will have a compassionate nature and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose and treat health issues.
• Provide post-operative care and follow-up consultations.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine.
• Work with specialists when necessary for advanced cases.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
• Engage with clients to build relationships and trust.
• Foster a positive environment for animal care and staff morale.
• Involve in administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Specialization in animal behaviour or surgery is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Clinical assessment
• Emergency response

Certifications

• Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS)
• Fear Free Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with veterinary software systems: Experience in using Vet-specific software for record keeping and operations.
