Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join Health Solutions Ltd. in Durban. You will work closely with patients to improve their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs. We are looking for someone with a passion for helping others and a strong foundation in evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate initial patient assessments to inform treatment approaches.
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams for holistic care.
• Manage a diverse caseload of patients with varying conditions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in practice.
• Deliver education on self-care and home exercises to patients.
• Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning for patients transitioning from therapy.
• Engage in community health initiatives and events.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior physiotherapists and student interns.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously.
• Network with other healthcare facilities and professionals for referrals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or related discipline
• Master's degree in Physiotherapy is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years in a clinical physiotherapy role

• Manual Therapy Techniques
• Exercise Prescription

Soft Skills

• Team Collaboration
• Time Management

Certifications

• Membership with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Pilates or Yoga: Skills in incorporating Pilates or Yoga into therapy sessions.
• Experience in geriatric physiotherapy: Specialization in treatment approaches for older adults.
