Pet Groomer

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Pet Groomer to be part of our Cape Town team. This position involves grooming pets of various sizes and breeds, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the well-being of every animal in our care.

Responsibilities

• Groom dogs and cats according to breed standards.
• Ensure a safe environment for pets and staff.
• Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming expectations.
• Utilize grooming tools and equipment effectively and safely.
• Document grooming services performed on each pet.
• Perform cleaning and sanitization tasks to uphold hygiene standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss grooming procedures and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Grooming certification or training from a recognized academy preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferred

Technical Skills

• Clipping and Trimming
• Behavior Assessment

Soft Skills

• Patience
• Team Player

Certifications

• Grooming Certification from an accredited institution

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to groom both dogs and cats: Proficiency in handling and grooming both species comfortably.
• Knowledge of pet products and grooming supplies: Experience in recommending suitable products for pets.
