Pump Operator (Pump Tender)

Job Description

The Pump Operator (Pump Tender) will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of pumps at a wastewater treatment plant. This vital role ensures that all pumping systems run efficiently and are fully operational for optimal water management.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures for pump operations.
• Exercise operational judgment to ensure efficient plant performance.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss safety and operational improvements.
• Report any irregularities to the Maintenance Manager promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant diploma or mechanical qualification is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in water or wastewater treatment preferred

Technical Skills

• Electrical systems knowledge
• Hand tools proficiency

Languages

• English: Fluent
