Job Description

We are searching for a Data Scientist to join our talented team in Cape Town. You will analyze large datasets, derive actionable insights, and implement machine learning algorithms that drive data-centric decision-making. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with complex datasets and be skilled in predictive modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform data mining and analysis to uncover patterns and insights from structured and unstructured data sets.
• Design and implement machine learning models for various applications, including predictive analytics and natural language processing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop strong data solutions accordingly.
• Conduct A/B testing and analytical validation of data models to measure performance and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Stay updated on the latest data science trends and technologies to improve our methodologies.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Big Data technologies - Hadoop, Spark: Experience with processing and analyzing big data using relevant tech stacks.
