IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our vibrant team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT support, troubleshooting, and customer service skills. You will provide assistance to end-users while maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure. If you're a tech-savvy problem solver who enjoys helping others, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Install and update anti-virus software and other security measures
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and standards
• Assist with the management of the organization's cloud services
• Respond to emergency support requests as needed
• Maintain good communication with users to keep them informed of issues and resolutions
• Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and practices
• Monitor and maintain hardware including servers and workstations
• Review and recommend improvements to IT processes and systems

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
• CompTIA A+ certification is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or related roles

• Windows and Linux Operating Systems

Certifications

• CompTIA Network+
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure: Hands-on experience with managing and supporting cloud services.
• Familiarity with VoIP technologies: Understanding of VoIP systems and troubleshooting.
