Asphalt Engineer

Job Description

The Asphalt Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and overseeing the construction of asphalt pavements and related infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have expertise in all aspects of asphalt technology including materials, design, construction, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead asphalt design projects from conception to completion.
• Evaluate new asphalt materials and technologies.
• Prepare technical specifications and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate with local authorities for project approvals.
• Implement quality assurance protocols.
• Utilize project management software to track progress.
• Address client concerns and queries regarding asphalt projects.
• Organise site visits and inspections.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders and partners.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Additional qualifications in materials engineering is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the asphalt industry

• Statistical Analysis Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Asphalt Recycling Methods: Experience in utilising recycled materials in asphalt construction.
• Project Management Certification: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
