Asphalt Engineer

Job Description

As an Asphalt Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design and supervise the construction of asphalt pavements and related infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and project management for asphalt infrastructure.
• Ensure quality control measures are adhered to during construction.
• Assist in the development of project proposals and bids.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
• Conduct training sessions for junior staff on best practices.
• Prepare progress reports to present to management.
• Employ effective project monitoring techniques.
• Engage with community stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Review and assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support the implementation of environmentally sustainable practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred
• Professional registration with ECSA

Experience

• 5 years of experience in managing large-scale asphalt projects.
