DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for the deployment and management of our cloud infrastructure, improving the CI/CD pipeline, and collaborating across teams to enhance our software delivery processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of DevOps practices and experience with cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud resources.
• Improve deployment processes and CI/CD efficiencies.
• Enforce security policies and monitor compliance.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to reduce manual processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure needs.
• Provide support for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Stay updated on the latest DevOps tools and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT or similar
• Certifications from recognized providers (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps

Technical Skills

• AWS/Azure
• Kubernetes
• Python/Shell scripting

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking

Certifications

• Docker Certified Associate
• Kubernetes Certified Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent
