Job Description

As a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI), you'll examine fire incidents to determine their origins and causes. You'll apply your expertise in fire investigation techniques to collect evidence, analyze data, and prepare detailed reports. The role requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations to establish the cause and origin of fires.
  • Gather and maintain evidence from fire scenes.
  • Analyze data and prepare comprehensive investigation reports.
  • Work closely with legal teams and insurance adjusters to facilitate claims.
  • Conduct public awareness and educational workshops about fire safety.
  • Monitor trends in fire incidents and contribute to the development of preventive measures.
  • Assist in the training of junior fire investigators and support staff.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to promote fire safety awareness.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification as a Fire Investigator (CFI) from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science, Fire Safety, or related field is preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fire investigation or related fields.
