Job Description

Join our growing IT department as an IT Support Technician in Bloemfontein. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, assisting clients with technical issues, and contributing to a positive user experience. We are looking for someone who is proactive and friendly.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support tickets and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Perform installations and upgrades of hardware and software.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot potential issues.
• Assist with data backups and recovery procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
• Support remote users via remote access tools and telephone assistance.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Computer Science or IT-related field
• Relevant IT certifications preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in technical support roles

Technical Skills

• Help Desk Software
• Remote Desktop Tools

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with VoIP systems: Knowledge of Voice over IP technologies and systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Ability to write scripts for automation tasks, such as PowerShell or Bash.
