Jitney Bus Driver

Job Description

We are looking for reliable Jitney Bus Drivers who will provide safe and efficient transport for our passengers. A strong focus on customer service and adherence to traffic regulations is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Operate the jitney safely while adhering to road rules.
• Assist passengers with their luggage when needed.
• Conduct end-of-shift vehicle inspections.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the journey.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding route changes or issues.
• Be available for training regarding safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably in public transportation.

Technical Skills

• Valid Driver's License
• Knowledge of local traffic laws

Soft Skills

• Excellent Communication Skills
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience driving a jitney or minibus: Prior experience with jitney or similar transport vehicles.
• Knowledge of local routes and destinations: Familiarity with common routes and popular destinations in the area.
