Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Tax Specialist to join our Pretoria office. In this role, you will provide tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to various clients. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of South African tax laws and regulations, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tax returns for various clients.
• Conduct thorough tax research to advise clients accurately.
• Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national tax regulations.
• Develop tax strategies that minimize tax liabilities for clients.
• Review clients' financial records to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Assist clients during tax audits and inquiries.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation is highly advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in taxation or public accounting

Technical Skills

• Tax Strategy Development
• Financial Analysis

• Analytical Skills
• Client Relations

Certifications

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Knowledge of international tax laws: Understanding of cross-border tax regulations is a plus.
