Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine, with a passion for animal care and client education. In this role, you will provide clinical services, perform surgeries, and assist in diagnostics for a variety of animal species.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat medical conditions and diseases in pets.
• Perform surgeries and dental procedures as required.
• Provide preventive care and wellness services.
• Educate pet owners on health care and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate medical records and pet histories.
• Coordinate with veterinary technicians during procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and training.
• Manage the clinic's day-to-day operations effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• DVM or equivalent with additional certifications
• Membership in Veterinary Association is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a multi-disciplinary veterinary setting preferred
