Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine, with a passion for animal care and client education. In this role, you will provide clinical services, perform surgeries, and assist in diagnostics for a variety of animal species.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose their health problems.
• Provide emergency first aid and critical care.
• Administer vaccines and medications as needed.
• Work closely with clients to discuss treatment options.
• Conduct surgical operations with precision.
• Keep abreast of advancements in veterinary medicine.
• Implement best practices in animal handling and welfare.
• Supervise and train junior veterinary staff.
• Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment.
• Foster a positive and compassionate atmosphere for pets and their owners.

Requirements

Education

• DVM or equivalent with additional certifications
• Membership in Veterinary Association is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a multi-disciplinary veterinary setting preferred
