Responsibilities

• Design and draft architectural plans and sketches.
• Review project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the selection of materials and construction methods.
• Engage with the community regarding potential impacts of projects.
• Evaluate project site conditions and potential challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in architectural design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Revit
• SketchUp

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Creative Thinking

Certifications

• Registered Architect (SAIA)
• LEED Accredited Professional (AP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with sustainable design practices: Knowledge of environmentally friendly building techniques.
• Familiarity with local building codes and bylaws: Understanding of regulations specific to the Western Cape.
