Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Public Health Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in community health programs and will play a key role in improving public health outcomes through various initiatives. You will collaborate with local health organizations, conduct health assessments, and implement strategies to promote health education and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze public health trends and compose reports.
  • Implement strategies to reduce health disparities in targeted communities.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars on health topics.
  • Work with the public health manager to develop strategic health plans.
  • Network with stakeholders to initiate health projects.
  • Advise on policy development that impacts public health.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts in the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Community Health, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in health program management
