Production Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our production team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency and quality in production. You will directly manage production staff and collaborate with various departments to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning meetings to discuss targets and resources.
• Manage the production budget and implement cost-saving measures.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
• Develop training programs for production staff to enhance skills.
• Evaluate and recommend process improvements for increased productivity.
• Coordinate production schedules with other departments for smooth operations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to production team members.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Engage in health and safety training and promote a safety-first culture.
• Report on production performance metrics to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in production management or manufacturing
