Construction Site Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Supervisor to oversee construction activities in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, while managing a diverse team on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee specialty contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they are performing according to contractual agreements.
• Implement site safety plans and enforce safety protocols among all workers.
• Conduct daily briefings with the construction team to outline objectives and delegate responsibilities.
• Manage allocation of materials and personnel to ensure efficiency.
• Assess site conditions and make informed decisions to adjust plans if necessary.
• Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders to review timelines and milestones.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and laborers on site.
• Compile and submit reports on project completion statistics and financial outcomes.
• Maintain a safe working environment, addressing hazards or safety concerns promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Advanced diploma or higher qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in site supervision and construction management
